It is weird to write a post, after such a long time, but...
I know it would be much easier to just restart everything from the
scratch... Get a new blog or something. I could then pretend that I am not one
of the many authors who just disappeared at one point without a word. But
that's not my style.
Despite the 4-years-long break I am still eager to continue my work on
adult games development and I don't want it to be a brand new adventure. That's
why I owe everyone a lot of explanations first:
What happened that neither of my two projects was continued?
One day, 4 years ago, when I had some health issues, I asked myself a
question if I am alright with violating copyright issues? - Sure everyone does
this - using porn pictures or gifs is pretty common in this branch... However I
felt bad about it, especially since I always considered monetizing my work. It
didn't seem fair. In the end, I decided that I will no longer create any work
with content which is not fully mine in the legal aspect... That pretty much
meant discontinuing 'The survivor'.
As
for 'The endless world' - I tried for some time to find an artist, who could join
my crew for pictures purposes. I even contacted real-life acquaintances for
that matter. However I failed.
Another step was an attempt to learn how to draw myself. I spent some
time on that but wasn't satisfied with my progress. I've moved to daz3d and I
actually managed to create a satisfactory looking character. But then I
realized that I have too little time, to spend a month on creating a single
character if I want to write stories for my games as well. I still have to do
my day-to-day job to pay the bills too.
Thus today, I am at the end of that bumpy road of trials and errors. I
decided to give up on graphical part of my work. I may change it if my stories
bring enough money to actually hire a skilled artist. With that said: The
endless world stays on indefinite hiatus - while still being my first choice if
I ever manage to hire an artist. The survivor is discontinued, since I would
need to remake it from the scratch to focus more on text and less on gifs and
pictures.
The time comes to introduce my third project, which I want to be my most
constant one. This is going to be the first project, where I won't need to look
at others. The first one which I can handle by myself without feeling bitter
about not having the right helpers or right skills. Time for the story of a
certain university... The Middle Town University!
